Identifying bees is an art that takes practice, patience, and humility. We created the Shutterbee Bee Guide with images and decision tress that will help you learn how to distinguish the common genera found in the St. Louis region (but it is not required for participation in the program). Practice makes progress (there really isn’t any other way to learn!), so we recommend practicing on your own iNaturalist observations. Good luck and have fun!
